For DuraPlaqs™ with two keyholes, first measure the distance between the center of each keyhole fasteners on the back of the artwork, this is the distance the screws should be apart.  Translate the center-to-center distance on the wall where the DuraPlaq™ is to be hung.  Using a level to make sure the piece will be level, mark each screw location.  Screw each provided screw into the marked locations, leaving enough protruding to fit the keyhole.  Inset a screw into one keyhole fastener, then the second and adjust the plaque horizontally until it is evenly hanging between both screws.

Wire hangers are an alternative option that will only be provided when requested.  While they have become a staple in the art world, wire hangers are not secure and do not hang flush against a wall when wire hangers are utilized.  DuraPlaq™ does not warranty the strength of wire hanger because they are not the recommended hanging system for DuraPlaq™ products.  Wire hanging systems should be utilized with care and are not recommended for high traffic area.  Some galleries and art show applications do require wire hangers for ease of installation.

DuraPlaq™ offers installation services with the assistance of our trained and experienced staff. Please contact DuraPlaq™ for more information on installation or if you have additional hanging systems.

There are a variety of hanging systems and presentation methods to choose from.  As DuraPlaqs™ are featured in numerous public facilities, additional security features and hanging devices may be added to any DuraPlaq™.
French Cleats are a very reliable, secure system used by museums and fine art exhibiters for years.  To hang a French cleat, first remove the wooden cleat taped to the back of the plaque.  Simply level the cleat on the wall and utilize the provided screws to securely attach the cleat flush on the wall.  Then set the DuraPlaq™ on cleat to finish hanging.  To adjust levelness use small pieces of paper to raise one side or the other.
Keyholes are a simple and effective method for hanging. If your art has one keyhole, simply screw the enclosed screw into the wall, leaving enough of the screw protruding to fit into the keyhole fastener.  Inset the head of the screw in the large opening of the keyhole then slide to the right.  If artwork comes off-level easily, simply tighten the screw a little further into the wall.
